How to travel to Turku
There are several ways to travel to Finland and Turku. Direct flights to Turku are available via Helsinki, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Barcelona, Budapest, Gdansk, London, and Riga. The Turku Airport is located 8 km from the city center, and it is easy to take a taxi from the airport to the hotels.
If you take a flight to Helsinki, there is also a frequent express bus connection from the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport to Turku city center. The bus journey takes 2.5 hours. Yet another alternative is to first travel to Helsinki city center and take a train to Turku. Finnair’s City buses have connections from the Helsinki-Vantaa Airport to Helsinki city center every 20 minutes. The train connection from Helsinki main railway station to Turku city center takes 2 hours.
If you are traveling via Stockholm, consider taking a ferryboat through the beautiful archipelago. Passenger ships operated by Viking Line and Tallink Silja Line have daily connections between Stockholm and Turku. The cruising time is about 12 hours.

Visa
Finland is a member of the European Union and no visa is required for the citizens of the other EU countries. However, aliens who wish to travel to Finland for a short period of time need a visa unless an agreement on the abolition of visas applies to them. Please contact Finnish Immigration Service if you need additional information.
Accommodation
The conference organization had negotiated contract prices with hotels listed below. All the hotels are located in Turku city center, and the conference support services mainly focused on these hotels.
The ICEE 2012 hotel quotas and special prices were valid until June 29, 2012..

Hamburger Börs is a legend among city hotels since 1904, last renovation 2006-2007. The most popular hotel in the city situated right in the center of Turku by the Market Place.
